The J1 Visitor Exchange program allows individuals from different countries to participate in a host of different privately-funded programs, which “work to build lasting alliances with the world’s business, diplomatic, and academic leaders of tomorrow.” This program is in danger of being cut

Click here to urge Secretary of State Rex Tillerson to defend the programs that support global cooperation and peace.

USF Professor Kathy Black gave an informative and enthusiastic presenatation about Everyone’s role in creating an Age-Friendly Community.  Florida, in general and Sarasota, specifically have taken steps to enrich the lives of seniors and encourage active living for the elderly.  One surprising aspect of her talk was the concept of multi-generational activities, working and living arrangements.  Kathy’s presentation was full of great statistics and if you want a copy, ciick on image or  click here  to download a pdf version of her presentation.
