Marietta Museum of Art & Whimsey

I have been driving past this nice landscaped Sculpture Park for years.  It is located on Tamiami Trail (Route 41) north of downtown Sarasota.  It looked very nice and interesting from the street.I was surprised to see it was a parking lot. Very nicely done, and the best landscaped sculpture parking lot I have ever viewed.Click to see more photos and videos

SCAS One World Award To Mary Elemendorf

SCAS One World Award To Mary ElemendorfA number of our Sarasota Sister Cities Assn members and others have requested further information about our SCAS One World Award, which is our most prestigious recognition. This year the One World Award will be bestowed to Mary Elemendorf, Anthropologist & Noble Laureate, for the individual winner and the Sarasota Audubon Society for Environmental protection and education as the Organization winner. The criteria and previous winners are described in the attached file.
